Growing up in North Oakland, the rapper found a love for music at an early age. He joined Oakland Rap Collective CaliMade and after releasing his debut mixtape he'd form Hip-Hop sub-duo Na(T)ive Son alogside fellow group member, Clyde Shankle of Down 2 Earth. They'd released one Project, The Havest EP and were featured on Iamsu's ''Kilt II''.
